It happen around 75% down (looking at my completion % when it started). After that you just chain the missions and not only they get a lot harder (in my opinion, especially the escort mission toward the end, i had to retry so many times and barely got it) even with a maxed character (health, instinc etc) but the game also switch from an overall realistic beat em up to something that is closer to "Resident Evil", wich i felt was not very fitting. Ok ill keep it spoiler free, but basically at one point there is like a point of no return, so if you had quest left, too bad, can't go back to them, and the game do not tell you. Actually, the most fun side quest involved mostly beating thugs and bringing back objects etc. The puzzle picture one felt like a headache to me. I completely skipped the trash can ones after the first, because you are so short on time you HAVE to learn the way first, and therefore the only way to do so is by wasting money (as you loose it if you don't succeed) so that make winning in the end pointless. Also some side quest are just dreadfull and not fun. You can play Dart as a mini-game but its a 1 and done only, i wish you could play as much as you want like Shenmue and spend time on this and other activities. Also some moves are tricky to pull out and often you will just smash the basic combos, at least thats what i did. First of all, the pit fights have a lot of opponents repeating and i wish they would had been all different. Now that is not to say the game is flawless. We were not really like today on a point where 2d beat em all got popular again (with release of brand new games in that style like SOF4) This was expected in the 3D era to experiment and try it differently. I mean it plays completely differently yes, but thats like comparing Mortal Kombat 3 to Mortal Kombat Deception. This game is usually hated by most peoples, and the reason, wich i personally find silly, is that its not really "Final Fight". Altough i enjoyed Beatdown too, the game felt a lot harder and it plays a bit different. Its also the only game that has a gameplay of that kind beside another Capcom game call Beatdown Fist of Vengeance. But basically you can go around, do some side quests, participate in Pit Fights, learn new moves and spare at the gym etc The game reminded me a bit of Shenmue if it happened in the dirtiest hood of the USA instead of Japan lol. I really enjoyed the game a LOT (minus the ending, more on this later, and ill keep it spoiler free). The first time was around 2010 or 2011 (can't remember exactly) but it was on a 360 by way of Backward Compatibility. Yesterday i finished Final Fight Streetwise for the second time.
